How to create coming soon page for your wordpress site

I have set up my domain and hosting now what? That’s a common question comes to mind when everyone gets hands on with a website. Whether it’s for personal or commercial the best way to have content managed is WordPress. Once you installed, a big army is ready for your command. Well, how to install WordPress then? Just follow this link to official WordPress Codex. But you might not ready with a theme for your site yet, perhaps you’re waiting for your designer and developer or you’re the one who gotta make it up. Quiet sure that you claimed the domain before someone else but now till you ready, how can you keep the site like a cat without fur? eww! And don’t create an index.html with a “
Under Construction
” for god’s sake!! IgniteUp is here saving your arse.

Once you set up WordPress,

 1. Log in and click Plugins->Add New from left sidebar.
 2. Search for “igniteup”

It’s easy to remember because still your rocket is on launchpad fixing nuts and bolts readying to launch but no need to wait in this robotic era. Let a bot (a plugin) to IgniteUp your buddy and flyover the earth. You can send those nuts & bolts in snail mail later.

 1. Then check “Enable” and click “Save Changes” button, so IgniteUp will be activated.
 2. Navigate to your site and you’ll see a Coming Soon Page.

You might like it and end up by there, but if you need more there’re more templates beneath “IgniteUp”. There you’ll see four built-in templates: “Launcher”, “Believe”, “Glass” and “Offline” which is helpful when site goes offline. Not just that, you can browse many more premium templates on IgniteUp Shop.

In General tab you’ve more options to select user roles to skip maintenance mode page. Let’s say you checked “Administrator” which represents you, so you won’t see Coming Soon page which comes in handy when you’re developing a theme. Template Options tab is unique to the activated template where you can customize per your preference. IgniteUp is powered up with popular Mailing List providers such as MailChimp, MailPoet etc. as well. So, good luck with your new website!
